TV
Supernatural: S9, E1: I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here I think it was a strong start to the season. I love the angel wings behind the logo for the season. I like that Castiel is losing the trench coat. (Shallow moment: nice to see Misha Collins in something else a little more form fitting.)
Interesting to get an idea of what the fallen angels are doing. It seems we have those that just lost as to what to do, those that want revenge on Castiel (not sure how that will help them) and then those that are good angels just not sure where to go. I'm hoping Ezekiel is a good guy, he seems it so far, but... there's always a but.
And finally I am not happy with Dean's decision not to tell Sam. I think it's a mistake, it goes against everything they talked about and came to terms with just weeks ago (in SPN time). Dean is assuming how Sam will react, Dean is making a decision for Sam, Dean is in total control. All things he said he wouldn't do anymore, that he respect Sam and his decisions and how strong he is. Well, where the hell is that now? I'm hoping that Dean sees his error and tells Sam early in the next episode. Will Sam be pissed. Oh yes. But I don't see him automatically rejecting the angle on principal. After all these seasons matters of trust and acceptance should not be the source of angst, I would love the writers to come up with something else.
Sleepy Hollow: S1, E4: The Lesser Key of Solomon Interesting. Hessons, Keys, maps oh my! They have an interesting thing going here, I do appreciate that the local police are not blind and can see something odd is going on. They don't have an explanation yet, but nice that they aren't just walking through the motions.
I was surprised that the old police chief had such a close relationship Jenny. And they did explain how Jenny knew about combat and weapons, still not sure how it's possible. I thought she was in the ward for years. (That being said, I barely watched episode two as I was working on a project so perhaps I missed something). I like that we have sisters repairing a relationship both strong and stubborn in their own right. I also enjoy Icabod, he is a great middle man, diffuses a lot of the tension with his adorableness.
We have a name of the demon in the mirror, one I don't know much about, and we have an army of minions willing to die for this demon. Now that they stopped the entrance of the 72 evil souls, the demon will have to find another way. And while all of this is interesting, I'm not really loving the show. I should be, but I'm not.
I did hear that it was renewed for season two and that season one is only 12 episodes long. Knowing this I may stick with it for the entire season and hopefully I'll warm up to it. Sadly this feeling of eh is affecting a couple of shows.
Hawaii 5-0: S4, E2: A'ale Ma'a Wau Oh show. :) I love that they keep giving each other relationship advice. In odd moments. *gg* I liked that Catherine is going to leave the Navy and be around more, I like her. I loved that the decision she was making was on her own... but at the end it didn't seem as though it was on her own was it? Still felt like Steve was giving permission for her to take the job. And ... while I know the circumstances are out there, what with her having a past relationship with the guy, just didn't seem like something Catherine would do. But it does show a respect for Steve and the guy. Oh I don't know. That scene was just odd, the words, the kissing was adorable. "There's no kissing in baseball Steve" and he sounded tired.
And I love seeing Danny with Grace, he was such the proud Dad. And it cracks me up that they are a family, it's Danny's daughter but look how many friends were there taking part in the game. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
Not as much blood this time, which is nice :P Tim Daly's Texas Ranger was hilarious. The peanut butter scene was a bit disturbing, but it worked. Kono and Adam are making it work, her strength knows no bounds, and i love it. And Adam loves it. Here's hoping he makes it out of this situation alive.
Masters of Sex was good as well. It's interesting to see characters in the late 1950's (I think that's when it is) and see that there are house wives, prostitutes, brothels and "loose" women. For the longest time I had a certain picture in my head about the past decades where everyone was married and didn't sleep around. However I was wrong. :PPP But the show has an interesting premise and the acting is good.
I am behind so I will be watching Agents of Shield tonight.
