Happy New Year to all, hope it's a good one, or at least an improvement over the last one.

For my in 2015 I just hope I stop being sick. Sadly I have finished round 3 of antibiotics, with a steroid this time, just recently. So for those of us counting, I had meds at the end of October, right before Thanksgiving, and then mid December. The Dr told me that I should see an ENT. Which I already have, we did a scan of my sinuses, the ENT says I have very small passages. Also said I'm a prime candidate for surgery.

That is something I wasn't pleased with, which is how I ended up at the allergist. And for 5 months the allergy shots and routine was working, but then in October I got so sick and I haven't been able to get rid of the congestion. And today I woke up with my throat feeling thick and scratchy and had periodic ear pain throughout the day. I'm being good about the nose sprays and allergy meds and really hope that this just passes. Don't want to go the surgery route, but I also can't continue to be sick like this. I can't take more antibiotics. It's just... round and round we go. Ugh.

Anyone watching The Librarians? This is so much fun. Sure it's one part cheesy but I feel like everyone involved embraces the cheesiness. The cast has some really great chemistry, especially Jake (Christian Kane, so fun to watch him as a character that smiles and isn't so broody) and Cassandra (Lindy Booth), they are my favorites. I even like Ezekiel and Jenkins (John Larroquette is hilarious). The weakness link is Rebecca Romijn, and I want to like her, I do, but ... she's just not good. She brings everything down. Hopefully she will get better, someone involved in the show saw something in her, right?

TNT also is airing the episodes out of order. We think it was so they could air the Christmas themed one near Christmas. But it's messed with the inter dynamics of the team. And (unlike "Almost Human") it's not pissing me off too badly. I think it's because of the tone of the show, I can work through it. This last episode was about fairytales with the awesome line of "someone has weaponized fairy tales." I needed a fun show that can make me smile.

OH! Speaking of that, watch "Galavant" last night, it was awesome! There was singing and sorta dance numbers, and in appropriate lyrics. And singing, and just... awesomeness. Definitely tuning in. And while it's only 4 weeks long, it's probably for the best. It's really 8 episodes at 30 minutes each, but they've decided to air it as a one hour. This isn't for everyone, but I loved it.

Finished this round of antibiotics, still congested. It's bothersome while talking sometimes, and I blow my nose throughout the day, all day. I may call the Doctor tomorrow and leave a message explaining how I'm feeling just to keep her updated. I'm concerned about taking a step backward again. I'm notorious for getting sick at Christmas, I think it's all the working, getting ready, etcetc.

The outside of the house is decorated (did that last Monday was it was 65 degrees out, just didn't turn them on until today). The tree is up and decorated. Tomorrow I plan to finish the inside of the house and then I'm done. I will move on to creating the Christmas card and downloading the pictures from my camera. Not sure when cooking will be happening. Really wish I didn't have to cook. Blah.

Feeling better, but still horribly congested. Finished my antibiotic and will continue with the regime of decongestants etc and I just hope that the congestion doesn't morph into something else.

Finally feeling a little better, the congestion is still really bad, I sometimes can't hear well out of my right ear, but I finally feel better. I don't think I'll be a hundred percent for another handful of days.

I've been sick now for 8 days. The first 4 were the most awful things, I had a spiking fever, aches throughout my shoulders, back and hips. The congestion started on day 3 and got worse to the point I could not breath, hence not being able to sleep either. Went to the doctor on Day 4 and she diagnosed me with sinusitis, which I've had many times, and it never felt like that. I didn't go to work for 4 days. The weekend wasn't much better, while the aches and pains decreased the congestion got worse causing headaches and pain through the left side of my face.

*sigh* I went to work on Monday, I needed to be home again but that was 4 days in a row, I have never ever done that before. So in the ten years I've been with the company they realized I was very sick, which was nice, I didn't have a fear that they didn't believe me. The head is still so congested my ears pop, need to use Afrin at night to breath, even Nyquil to get to sleep. Ugh. This just so sucks.

Good thing about today is that we started watching The Avengers with the kids today. I found myself shushing LM#2, but he had questions or just comments. :)

I took a half day vacation today, worked the morning, and then took a nap this afternoon and now we are watching some TV. Mr. KA and I were supposed to go to a play but it was canceled due to selling only two tickets. Since Mr. KA had to work I just worked as well.

Finally got a package out to ctbn60, I'm pimping Teen Wolf, Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow, thanks to reccea, I was able to put all these in the mail - she will have them tomorrow. *g*

The diet is moving along, up to 17 pounds now. I was hoping to be at 25 for my birthday weekend, but that is a long shot. Sadly I probably would have made it if I was able to exercise. But with the coughing it's not been possible. I will try yoga soon though.

I went to Escapade and had a great time, loved hanging out with reccea and hederahelix (which doesn't happen nearly enough for my liking). Met some new people as well.

Sadly there was a small issue with wifi connectivity and my work computer, basically that it wasn't working, so I had to be taken to a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in order to get my work done. Then there was the fact that I coughed the whole trip. I really believe people that I had the plague. *g*

Unfortunately I'm still coughing, I'm now taking Tessalin Pearls, something to suppress the coughing, I've taken 5 pills and I've seen no improvement so tomorrow morning I'm hoping that is different. But I'm not feeling well, I feel like I did before the antibiotic. And that just seriously sucks.

I'm behind on tv so there's not much for me to talk about. Although I could rant about Bitten because wow with the bad. Mr. KA seems to be enjoying it but I find no character appealing or likeable and there was snipping of appendages in the last ep that... yeah, kind of pointless if you were going to kill him, why be so cruel? Hence the un-likability of everyone.

Looking forward to Teen Wolf tomorrow. Mr KA and I were supposed to go to a play but they only sold 2 tickets - ours, so they canceled the performance and gave us a refund and a credit for tickets, so that is good. But now we aren't sure what to do. I kind of had it in my head that I was off and I really need the rest. I may take a half a sick day for the afternoon and work the morning where I can be uninterrupted.

I did watch the latest Hawaii 5-0s and the banter and talks between Steve and Danny really are the show for me. I think the weekly crimes are boring and kind of stupid, or perhaps I just am not paying attention.

After spending 5 days around LA with friends, I'm home into the frozen tundra. I took a red eye and I had hopes of sleeping but as there was a screaming child on the flight, that didn't happen. And I know how hard it is traveling with young children but that didn't stop me from being frustrated. I did nap for about 3 1/2 hours, longer than I originally anticipated, but I'm tired.

I'm also tired of coughing, which my roommates for Escapade are probably thinking the same thing. I really thought I would be feeling better by now, 5 days of antibiotics, but no, I feel about the same before I left. :( This gets me up to about 18 days of coughing. Fun times.

I loved hanging out with reccea and hederahelix, people I don't get to see nearly enough. And something that came out of the weekend is that I joined Tumblr, still have no idea what I'm doing, but thanks to reccea, I have it started. I chose some colors and a header and did reblog one thing. I'm sure I can get the hang of it eventually, but it seems like a "time suck" which is not something I have a ton of but there are some cool things out there. Right now faradheia has been sending me all these links and I've been loving it, so hopefully that continues while I get my footing in something new.

I did get to rematch of all of season 3B of Teen Wolf while away and I really loved watching it with same minded folks. I have a theory about Stiles and Malia ( I have a theory )

I haven't watched this week's episode yet, I'm trying to watch some of the other stuff Mr KA watched while I was gone so I'm not horribly behind.

I'm cold, wrapped in a blanket on the couch and I'm still cold. And coughing. Ugh.
