Arrow: S2, E12: Tremors
I have mixed feelings. On the one hand I thought Oliver trying to train Roy was good, I think that Oliver (along with many men on shows) is having a problem articulating himself, that withholding information is not alwys wise. If he had given Roy just a little more info perhaps he wouldn't have continued to be an ass.
The idea of Moira running for Mayor of the city that she (albeit unwillingly) had a hand in destrying is... ridiculous. I appreciated that the writers gave Moria a brain and she questioned and pointed out the obvious, but geezus, was there no one else??? I still think it's ludicrous.
Here's to Nick Lea sticking around, the last show I saw him on he was killed so I hope he lasts longer and his role gets bigger.
I think Roy knowing about Oliver is good it helps Roy see things clearer, I think the aonymity of "the arrow" was part of Roy's problem.
And Laurel is just a mess. Hopefully Sara will be able to help but honestly I just think that will make matters worse before they get better. And regarding the Bronze Tiger and "squad" mention, I had to look it up and it seems he was part of the Suicide Squad (in the DC-verse). Kind of hope we see Michael Jai White again, according to the Wiki the character of Bronze Tiger is not just a flat out "bad guy" and I like those kinds of characters.
Justified: S5, E4: Over The Mountain Ahhhh, Raylan and Boyd finally have a scene together. *ggg* That was my favorite part and the sad thing is I chuckled as soon as Raylan walked into the bar. :)
What I find most interesting this season is that Raylan has not fired his weapon. He's drawn it, but not fired. That all the killing has been done by other people. i'm surprised to see Johnny and him having such huge balls but when he has such a backer I suppose he has reasoin to feel confident. I'm also creeped out that Johnny made such a blantant pass at Ava, she is really not interested... ever.
While I'm not really into the Crowe storyline I have enjoyed the acting, I was thrilled when Michael Rappaport appeared but now I think he's great. :) And Dewey, well, he's just so stupid, but kind of loveable - who else can pray to God to help him find a man he wants to kill, but he'll go to Church and pray more if God helps him find that person. On any other character that would have been ridiculous, instead it was just Dewey.
I'm indifferent about the social worker, Raylan can't seem to pick anyone that is not without baggage though. I'm curious as to why he hasn't been to see his daughter in person. Not sure what is going through his head.
And once again I'm wanting more Rachel and Tim stuff as well. :)
Been catching Hollywood Game Night when there is a celebrity I'm interested in. This week was Michael Weatherly, plus Michele Tractenberg - dude, she is hardcore, a ver competive person, you could tell, she didn't like losing. :P the show is fun, but I have to admit that Jane Lynch is a tad annoying, she tries to be funny, but most of the time it's awkward. In my opinion.
Out of the 5 workdays this week, I got up and did some movement exercises 4 of them. I think that is an accomplishment. The program is going alright, but each day I seem to eat something additional I shouldn't. Last night it was a chocolate chip cookie after resisting the goodies at work all day. But I suppose one cookie is not going to ruin everything else, so I keep going. Tomorrow is the really hard "cleanse" day where I just drink stuff all day. That will be difficult.
Work. Well I sat with the staff yesterday and gave everyone their Reviews. It went fine, just that Staff Member K seems to have a different memory of her year, sadly her Review is subpar and it will be reflect in the no merit and low bonus. But in her Review she feels that it wasn't that bad, a few mistakes here and there. Yeah. That's not how it worked, and I'm a bit disturbed that she thinks so. The merit stuff doesn't come out until mid-late February so I'll worry about it then. Right now I need to focus on transitioning the workload from the other office to my staff (where I'm one person short).
