Agents of Shield: S2, E4 - Face My EnemyThe Agent May and Coulson show. I loved the beginning, everything May and Coulson did - lighthearted, then serious, then snarky. (Shallow note: Clark Gregg needs to be in a suit like that with the collar open more often. Yum)
I'm glad that Talbot isn't Hydra. He can be a jerk, but be a jerk on the good side. And he has a sense of humor, I love that. (Some people are better in small does, that was great).
And I do appreciate the team bonding, a lot, I love the new additions (still out on Lance though) but I really like Mac... I like him a lot. I thought the back and forth was nice and good for getting to know them a little better, seeing how they act with each other.
Fitz continues to break my heart, he is so lonely, and he is getting lost in his own head. I want Mac to track him down and try and get him to interact with the team more. He was so good at that. So I really loved how they all rallied around Fitz as he tried to explain what was happening. But then my happiness was short lived because Fitz thinks Simmons left because he confessed his feelings. Or at least part of the reason. *sigh* so sad
I do think the fight between May and the impostor was way too long. Not sure if they wanted to do something really cool and long, or wanted May to fight in her underwear longer (which is just wrong). But it was just too long. And then they went into planning for Coulson's deterioration, my god. May is awesome, wanting to do what it took to take care of Phil (so sweet). A shame that Coulson doesn't think there is another option outside of killing himself.
A little nitpick moment -- am I the only person that looks in their car before getting in it? All the shows that have characters walking up to their cars and getting right in and then are surprised by the person in the back seat. I look. Every time so I find these "surprise I'm here" kind of ridiculous. *g*
Arrow: S3, E2 - Sara Really excited that Tommy went looking for Oliver, that is so fantastic. Of course it makes me miss him even more, that we were cheated out of best friend time.
League of Assassins don't "target their own"?? Did he forget about Nyssa al Ghul coming looking for Sara? Needing to bring Sara back to her father or she would die? (At least that's what I remember).
Ray Palmer continues to be adorable, even though his pursuit of Felicity is stalkery. It's a bit extreme, buying a holding company to get to the stores. I mean, Felicity is good but is she that good? :)
Holy shit about Laurel. She was vicious with the witness, I couldn't believe she banged his broken arm on the railing. And I was horrified but slightly proud of her at the same time, of course that all fell apart when she stuck her face in the hole of the window after an arrow just killed said witness. Stuck her face in the hole. Are you kidding? And then back to holy shit because she pulled the trigger, she was going to kill Komoto. Damn. (But woohoo regarding Oliver taking the bullets out, he does know Laurel - or at least what grief does to a person.)
Not sure I agree with Laurel not telling Dect. Lance, that sits wrong with me. I can see why she did it but ultimately that is just going to be a shock later. But I suppose she wants to wait until her father is more stable health-wise.
Man, Oliver can't kick the idea that he is alone, that he has to suffer for... everything. And while his reasonings are sound (from his point of view) he needs to see the people around him, allow them to be a family. He showed such great growth with his reaction to Roy's honesty surrounding Thea, and I can only hope that he can be that open minded about the opening himself up to emotions (his own and others). They don't make you weak but give you strength to keep fighting. He needs to stop seeing everyone he cares about as putting them at risk. They are at risk by their own decisions.
He called Diggle, John. How many times has that happened? And I found the direction of the ending with Merlyn and Thea kind of ridiculous. Keeping it suspenseful about who is walking and then fight. :P Their names were in the credits, it was kind of obvious of who was fighting etc. *haahaa*
