kimannebbHere are a bunch of stories that I recently enjoyed very much. I'm hoping to put them here more often instead of just emailed around.
*sigh* Can someone remind me how to make the title of the story the link to the story? I looked in the "help" but couldn't find it, but perhaps I'm not asking the right thing.
Avengers
A Scandal in Latveria (Coulson/Cellist, Steve/Tony)

Summary: The Avengers are grounded for starting a scandal in Latveria. Phil is sent to make sure Steve and Tony make a Congressional hearing. Fate has other plans.
Liked: The way it was written, the Coulson point of view, the laughter intermingled with a more serious tone underneath for the Tony and Steve stuff. It was a tiny bit frustrating not getting into more of the serious stuff (from Steve or Tony POV) but the author commited to Coulson and it still works.
The (Not Really) Secret Origins of Movie Night (Steve/Tony)

Summary: Somewhere along the line the Avengers have become a pretty good team. But Tony's still the odd man out, and Steve's determined to change that.
Liked: The group tries to get Tony to socialize, so they each try and teach or share with Tony something special. Found the story sweet and loving, mostly sweet. Some good laughs in here too.
Best Kept Secret (Clint/Coulson, Steve/Tony)

Summary: In which there is a secret friendship, and Tony can’t deal with feelings, so Natasha has to do it for him. These two features may or may not be related..
Liked: It made me smile. A lot. I love, love, the idea of Natasha and Tony being friends, that Natasha has a special place inside her for her team. The dialog and banter was just funny and sharp. Overall I just found it cute, lighthearted and fun.

Liked: I really liked the pace of it, which was steady. It starts at the beginning and slowly goes through how Clint and Coulson came to be. A new way of looking how Clint and Natasha found each other. And it was nice to read something before "New York" and see some glimpses of it through offhand comments from Fury. I liked the detail this author put into it, the countries, the descriptions, it seemed to be created with such care.
2) Fast and Furious

Summary: The world has changed and Steve has trouble dealing with it. Tony tries to help but there is that attraction thing...
Liked: This was different than the other story as it moves very fast. Everything. From picking up in New York, to have it happens with Steve and Tony. I found Steve's struggle very real, instead of hiding and coming to terms with his homosexuality first, he jumps at it and then tries to reconcile it afterward. Which isn't too smooth. I liked it, not as much as the first one, but it was good and I kind of hope there is more, but there doesn't need to be.
Merlin
So Are They All, All Honourable Men (Arthur/Merlin)

Summary: Considering Arthur's future wife will be chosen less for compatibility than for her political value, Merlin may be the only marriage he'll have that won't end in bloodshed or a great deal of fortifying wine.
Liked: Thought Arthur's voice was great, their communication smooth, honest without spelling it out. Good story.
Supernatural
If the dam breaks open many years too soon (Sam/Dean)

Summary: Sam’s soul springs a leak, and Dean’s the one who can repair it.
Liked: This was an interesting idea. That Sam and Dean try and settle for a little while, they created a truce between them and were trying to live. I really enjoyed the writing and Sam's point of vew. I think my favorite part was Missouri, and she wasn't even really there.
Suits
Calamity of Casual Touches (Harvey/Mike)

Summary: Harvey touches him more than is strictly necessary. Now Mike registers each and every ones of these touches, committing them to memory and cataloguing them away.
Liked: Harvey's voice, actions, reactions were just spot on. I enjoyed that the story took its time, leading up to great sex.
