Justified: Ghosts Oh Raylan... how I will miss you until next season. And I waited all season for the scenes between Raylan and Boyd. And was it just me or was the scene in the truck so made of fanfic? The stuff Boyd was saying, I've just seen it in stories. And the two of them have such chemistry together... *happy place* And Raylan, he is hurting and conflicted and it was played well because I started to doubt what Raylan was going to do. I was pretty sure he wouldn't just kill Nicky outright. Pretty sure. And that is saying something because before I would have said 'no', but there was a craziness in Raylan's eyes. In the end he didn't. He arranged it.
That blood is still on his hands and I believe it may haunt Raylan. No he didn't pull the trigger but it set it up, he knew it was going to happen. Suspension or not, under other circumstances he would have stepped in.
I still don't like Winonna, however, girl deserves some props for keeping her wits and even having a hand in their escape. That was a great scene, even though, as a viewer, Raylan all but telegraphed his intentions by looking straight at the gun in the man's belt. They just weren't paying attention. Shame on them. *g*
And Boyd. He was played and I feel bad. I was surprised that Moony and Patterson found the balls to go against him, mostly Patterson. I felt Ava kept Boyd more contained, and considering his reaction... who knows how Boyd will be next year. And I'm not sure how Raylan's story is going to end either, considering he was fixing up the house, sitting looking at graves (one that looked like it had his name on it) and that song: leaving Harlan when you're dead. Not very optimistic is it?
Great season, thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Arrow: Unfinished Business Man, this episode hurt me. Bastards. Tommy. I wanted Tommy on team Arrow, but it seems he just isn't there, he can't get over Oliver killing people. I do think he overreacted about Oliver asking about the drugs, he was asked one time and then dropped it. I understand how Tommy would be hurt by that, but I feel his reaction was a big strong. And to return to Dad, ugh, I actually gasped and said "no!" to the TV. Mr. KA chuckled at me. That is the last place I wanted Tommy to be. And if he thinks Oliver's lies hurt? Not sure how he will handle learning about Malcom's.
I also enjoyed the training in the flashback, very interesting. I liked everything about the flashback. Sadly the rest of the episode was ok fair, there were some glaring holes that made no kind of sense at all and we were just supposed to 'roll' with it. Like how did Oliver get in and out of the Count's room? Why did Det. Lance assume the drugs were distributed by a member of the Verdant staff? I would have just thought she picked up the drugs from another person there, not someone on the payroll. It seemed flimsy to me.
As did Diggle and his vengence, just kind of out of place, or out of nowhere. He deserves justice, but he also has a main job as well. And where did the newphew come from? I don't remember there being a child before, it makes the two of them dating even more rocky.

Update on the laptop is that the mother board died. Yep. The Tech Services guy says he hasn't seen a mother board die in over a year. Woofreakinhoo for me. So I'm paying him to remove the harddrive - which by the way isn't readily accessible like 90% of all laptops, this one has to be totally taken apart - and have him save it to my backup hard drive. This way I don't have to figure out what is mising from iTunes, or go back and try to recreate all the recs I've sent out in the last 10 months.
This new laptop will be better right? We will be through all the bad luck? Right?

So, LM#2 has been without a binky since Saturday night. He's been getting up a little earlier, normally we have to drag him from the bed at 6:15 but lately he's been up at 6:00. I think before, he'd wake, find the binky and then mod back off to sleep. I always took the binky from his mouth when I went to bed, and most times in the morning he still didn't have it. So far this has been a smooth transition. I feel for Mr. KA because the almost 7am wake up call will be much earlier right now.

I also had a motherboard die on a laptop I had; to be fair, it was an old Dell and a while ago. (The computer was still covered, but getting it replaced after it died *literally* the night before my grades were due was *not fun*, esp. since I was on the east coast for part of that. I vividly remember the Dell service guy working on replacing the motherboard in my mom's apartment.)
I have to say that the Mac laptops I've had have been more reliable for me. I've had small problems with them--the trackpad or the keyboard--but not motherboards or monitors like I had with Dell. I realize that that's anecdotal, but at this point, I don't think anyone could talk me into going back. (also, universe, I am not daring you to test that theory by causing something major to go wrong with this one. Just sayin'.)
Also, one of the things I like about Apple is that although Applecare isn't cheap (I think about $325 for three years. You do get the first year free, and you can sign up for an additional two years any time during that first year, which spreads the payment out over time since Macs are so damned expensive in the first place), the service I've gotten at the Genuis Bar or at a Mac authorized service center has always been really, really first rate.
(Fair warning: If I were you, if you decide to go into an Apple Store for any reason--to look at Macs and get your hands on them or if you do buy one and need to go in for service or whatever, I would try to avoid taking the kids with me if I were in your position. The sheer volume of noise in the stores makes me want to hide by myself in my apartment for about 6 hours afterwards, and while there are places for kids to sit there (I think all the ones I've been in have a lower table with kid sized chairs around it), I feel obligated to warn you that *I* feel dramatically over stimulated when I leave one. I've been to at least two in California and at least two in Massachusetts, and while some are better than others, I've never been in one that doesn't make a Cheesecake Factory look like a library in terms of its sound levels. If I have that response, I can only guess that the kids would feel really overwhelmed by the noise levels. The smaller stores are slightly less awful; I was at the one at Chestnut Hill with mom over the winter holidays, and I didn't want to put earplugs in, but the bigger stores are just AWFUL on that front.)
At any rate, whatever decision you have made or do make, I do hope you're over the worst laptop luck.
As for last night's ep of Arrow, well, I don't expect quality anything from the show, but I assumed that we were supposed to see
Jim Dresden'sLaurel's dad's suspicion as:1. Proof that drug dealers in television series seem to sell drugs in hip nightclubs all the time, so any cop would look to see if drugs were being dealt out of a new club
2. Proof that Laurel's dad has changed since he doesn't rush in and assume without thinking about how Laurel would respond
3. Something else I've managed to forget about.
Anyway, crossing my fingers for you on the tech front.

And thanks for the headsup about the Apple store, I've been in one in Ardmore here and it was loud. And I love that you mentioned the Cheesecake Factory but it doesn't seem to matter where the place is located, they are all ridiculously loud.
Part of my problem with Det Lance is that I don't like the actor, I think he's... bad, over acting etc. So when he comes on screen it's like my inside clench up. And not in a good way.
One of things I appreciated in last night's episode was Diggle after he returned from buying the drugs "the person of color has bought them", because as he took off the hood the exact thought crossed my mind. Of course it was either him or Felicity cause Oliver is too well known, usually. But still.
Revolution is another one that has a good premise but sometimes the execution is lacking. And on there I can't stand the character of Charlie. Really can't stand her, I try to ignore her once she is onscreen but sadly she is a main player.
Most of my fav shows are cable nowadays (Justified, Game of Thrones, Dexter, Suits, White Collar).
And thankyou for the crossing of fingers, I will take it all. :)
