Battle of wills, but Mommy will triumph! So it seems that LM#2 has decided that sleeping through the night is really a good thing and has been doing it for over a week consistantly. Awesome. So of the awesome. Going to bed is still sometimes hard, last night he was calling (but never got out) and ended it with "Mommy your not nice." *sigh*

LM#1 seems to have started 1st grade and decided that he is going to be a little shit. He thinks he can ignore things I say and do as he pleases. He learned the lesson last night (I hope). It started in the morning when he refused to read with me after I turned off the TV, he turned his back and cried and when I took things away later in the day as punishment and sent him to his room until school, the crying when to a whole unbelievable level. Complete with throat screaming or something. But the walk to the bus stop was fine.

Through dinner last night he was asking for his dessert back and I said no, he asked again (because apparently the first time I don't mean it) and I just looked at him and said "does mommy ever give back something I took away?" He just looked at me (and yes that was a slight on Mr. KA who tells them they can earn it back. Yeah, no. Another part of his punishment was going to bed early, well, you would have thought the world was ending or something. I originally had planned to sit and read with him extra long and he would still retire early but only 20 minutes. Instead it was more like 40 because he threw another holy fit and I wasn't caring. So off to bed he went which ended with "mommy you're not being nice". Ahh. Two for two.

He woke this morning so sweet, coming and giving me kisses and his brother hugs. Even asked to work on tracing his letters while he watched. Yeah. I'm hoping last night made an impression. *g* I'm taking today as a win.

The kids' birthdays are in October and we are doing superhero themes, Avengers. So i made the invites last night and LM#1 handed out this today, and I'll cut up and have LM#2's ready for tomorrow. They are both the same weekend, different days. October, just a month full of baking.

Speaking of baking, I volunteered to make cupcakes for my Church's yard sale. They are having a bake table and made an announcement that it would only work if we donated the goods. So cupcakes, but they mentioned they have to be wrapped. Weh? So I went online and found single containers for cupcakes, they are plastic. It wasn't too expensive, about 40 bucks for 200 of them. And I figure I have them for whenever they are needed again.

TV
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: S1, E1: Pilot Probably the last time I type out the title with Marvel and the periods, 'cause that is annoying. Finally the show is here. :) It's the one I was looking forward to the most I believe and for a Pilot I think it lived up to the hype (for the most part).

There were many things I loved, just little throw away comments that made things funny: Harry Potter reference, building a moat around the cubicle, the Rising Tide rant being interrupted by Coulson, the Avengers don't have Level 7 clearance. (and yes that is ridiculous, but I find it amusing that it was said because really, who the hell would believe Tony wouldn't hack every available system?? But I do believe they are not aware of his presence. They are busy battling the dark world, losing an arc reactor and finding a long lost friend. *g*) It's all about the glasses we wear, isn't it?

Coulson. First I'd like to say that I'm happy for Clark Gregg, the character of Coulson wiggled his way into so many movies when it was never meant to be that. I love that he is as big as he is. However. That is not our Coulson. I firmly believe that our Coulson died. This Coulson? Could be clone (you know Shield has some project somewhere) and my friend Thena mentioned a Lazarus Project, which I like the idea of. Maybe it is out Coulson, frozen after death, then come back. Because I feel it's not our Coulson, I felt that he came off... kind of odd. Some of his humor was - off or something. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

I enjoy FitzSimmons, they make a great pair, however I do feel it's stereotypical of tech-based characters, would have liked to see something different. I enjoyed Sky, she seemed fun and full of life. Loved seeing the actor that played Book (from Firefly) and Gunn (from Angel). Ward, oh how I don't care about you at all. Like, not even a little. Every other character is way more interesting. Sadly I don't know how they can fix that though.

It was a good start, and I'm looking forward to next week. Oh! The flying car? Best ending ever. :)

The Blacklist: S1, E1: Pilot I enjoyed this way more than I expected to. The episode set up the characters but also a lot of questions. I do think there are too many questions, however it's also kind of nice not to be strung along. *g* Kind of on the fence about the whole thing.

Why is Reddington so obsessed with Keen, is he her biological father? Did Keen's father do something for Reddington, save Reddington so he is looking over her? Who the hell is her husband? Why is Keen so special?

I know all these questions will be answered in due time, but that's a lot of questions. I do think there were a few dumb moments: after Reddington escapes the Agents goes to the window and pulls up the rope. Why? Wasted time. They really thought Reddington would keep the tracker in?

I'm intrigued, Spader is sufficiently creepy.

Mom: S1, E1: Pilot I laughed, a lot, which... it wasn't that hysterical, but I think I just enjoyed Anna Faris. I am a fan of hers and her delivery was funny. There were a couple of cringe moments, but I mostly enjoyed myself. I'll have to see how it continues. It's a comedy and my standard of writing is way down for comedies, but we'll see.

HIMYM: the final season They aired two episodes in a row. The first one was hysterical, really really funny. The second one was alright. But they all can't be hysterical, but such a great start to the season. And a name of a new cookie: sumbitch. Haahaaa.

I did watch the second episode of Sleepy Hollow but I was designing birthday invitations because Mr. KA wanted to hand them out as soon as possible, so I missed a lot so I don't have anything to say about it this week.

Right now Mr. KA and I are keeping pace with the shows. This won't last but I'm enjoying it right now. :)
