So I haven't posted in months, haven't really paged through in months either. Gonna try to do better... again.

Around here...
Kids are fine LM#1 is in camp and loving it. It's a great camp, he's outside all day doing sports, swimming, hiking, gardening, archery, and a bunch of other things. The one hard part is the sunscreen, he's coming home red a lot, each week it gets a little better and he's been wearing a baseball hat some days so that is helping. LM#2 is enjoying the water play days, which he hated last year, so now it's easy to get ready in the morning (when I don't have to fight with him to get in his swim suit, he went many times last year and didn't do water play because of it, but it was his decision so...)

House if good actually hired a cleaning lady to do my windows last week. I took car elf moving furniture and washing the curtains and such, but she did the windows, not nearly as well as me as I move the screen and get the corners really well but they are clean. That is the important part. And I'm thinking of bringing her back to do the bathrooms and kitchen once a month. That will save me a lot of time.

The enclosure (or little house as I call it) that surrounding the oil tank was totally rotted so my Dad removed and we're having the guy that did out fence around the patio build the little house, with a hinge roof for oil delivery and gauge check. (Not that I can check the gauge as I'm too short, it's Mr. KA's job.)

Work... *sigh* Right now there is a lull in projects, which is nice, but it will be short. Sadly my staff member problem is still there, even went to HR and got their advice, did a meeting with HR and the employee. I don't see a huge improvement yet, it's been two weeks - in my opinion she could have went out and bought a few shirts but she's still wearing hoodies. In addition, I have another staff member that doesn't get in until 9 or so but stays late to make up the 8 hour day. Turns out that once he thinks everyone is gone he gets on the internet and isn't actually working. So that means I need to stay and sneak up on him. Fun times. Then another one, who was just hired at the end of January, wants to apply for a position outside the department, technically you need to be in a position a year before you do that, but why would I force someone to stay in a job that obviously don't like? *sigh* In addition... a Company is interested in mine and they have submitted an offer (of insane dollar amount) so that is hanging over all of us. We won't know anything for a while, and even if we are sold, AP is one of the last departments. Just sucks, but maybe the ShareHolders will take in the big big picture and decide to stick with our current goals, keep the patients in mind (which is what they always said we were about). (I have to talk vaguely as I'm not saying where I work.)

And me stuffI got my hair cut. It's super short, right to the bottom of my jaw line and totally off my neck in the back. Sometimes I like it a lot and sometimes I think it just makes my face look so much rounder/fatter. But it's quicker in the shower and to dry, so, woo for that. I am going to look into buying a flat iron as with it this short I could straighten it from time to time for something different.

I think I mentioned in the beginning of the year I was sick a lot. I basically got sick in January and never got rid of it. I kept going back to the doctors, went on antibiotics three times, steroids twice, nothing could totally cure me. I went to the Sinus Dr, he told me I have a deviated septum and my nasal passages are tiny. He felt I was a good candidate for sinus surgery. I said I would keep that in mind. Then I suffered for another week or so and then went to the allergist.

All my problems for the last several years is due to allergies. I was tested in the office where they put a bunch of pins down the inside of my forearms. There is a chart in front of me so I can see what I'm reacting too (leading up to this I had to stop all medicine, it was a loong weekend). I had to sit like that for 15 minutes.

1 minute in and I had horribly itching sensations that morphed into welts and burning by minute 3. For the remainder of the time I hung my head and bit my lip, it was one of the most excruciating things I had to endure. I couldn't move, I had to sit there. The bottom line is that I should live in a bubble. The highest level reaction is a 4, a third of mine were 4+, a third was 3+ and the rest were below that. Almost every trees and grass - check! Inside and outside mold - check! Dust mites - check! Cats - no. *blink* What?! I laughed because dog and cat had no reaction, I told the Dr that if he had a cat and I gave it a kiss I would sneeze. I think my body was so busy reacting to everything else that it just decided to ignore the cat allergy.

So the allergist gave me a schedule to follow and I did. And within 10 days I felt so much better, but the time I returned 4 weeks later I felt the best I had all year. That being said, I started allergy injections today. Have to go every week for 4 months, it's a pain in the ass but if it saves me the multiple sinus infections and feeling like so much shit, I'm all for it.

I still can't believe that 5 months of misery this year was due to allergies. Doesn't seem fair.

The weight lost stalled after my birthday in March, but I got back on the wagon and am up total of 28 pounds down, so that is good. Just wish it was going faster, but again, my friend tells me slow and steady wins the race. :P

I can't remember if I did this here but I have a pinboard, it's found here: https://pinboard.in/u:kimannebb

If you guys have the above, I'd love to add you so leave a comment. I'll try ad start looking for you guys. :)

I can't wait to get my Entertainment Weekly this week as it has Avengers: Age of Ultron stuff. I'm so excited for this movie ... that doesn't come out for 10 months. But it matters not, I'm just so excited.

In terms of fandoms I'm reading Avengers, Cap2 and Teen Wolf the most. The kids are almost finished their Woody the Woodpecker episode and then it's reading time and then bed for them.
