Watched a boat load of movies over the weekend:
Movies
- Twilight Pt 2: good to see the end of the series and while I read the books I don't remember the whole "switch" with the battle (this is regarding Alice). I don't remember it happening that way in the book, so either (a) it didn't and they did that for the movie and really, what manipulative bastards or (b) I was skimming i too much and missed it totally. I'm kind of leaning toward "a".

- 21 Jump Street: I swore I would not watch this, then a friend said it was really funny. So I swallowed my dislike of Jonah Hill and gave it a try. Have to admit that I laughed a lot, mainly because it was poking fun of itself and for that I respect it. Still only a B movie though, but dug the cameos of the originally 21 Jump Street members.

- 5-year Engagement: eh, it was alright, kind of funny in places, but kind of predictable as well. I'm a big fan of Jason Segal and I find it curious how much I keep seeing his naked body in movies that he writes. Sadly I'd give this movie a grade of C.

TV
Revolution: The Stand So it returns from the four month hiatus. Here's hoping it survives the break (unlike Jericho). I was hoping for a recast of Charlie, but, yeah, no they stayed with the same actress. Bummer.

The episode was decent until Danny was shot. And at that point I was so pissed off at the lazy writing and ridiculousness of the situation that it ruined the decent episode. Just. Geezus, let's shoot a fully armed helicopter with a missle launcher and then stand - in open ground - as the second helicopter turns toward me. Let's do that because I'm invincible, I took down a helicopter!

Ughhhhhhhhh, just. The whole first half of the season was rescuing Danny and in the first ep back, he's dead. And he died pointlessly. At least if he dove for cover or something, but he stood there, just like the ass he was for the whole season. And, it was fairly obvious he was going to die, what with the flashbacks to his surgery, the conversation of Charlie telling him to hide. Yeah. I'm irritated.

I am intrigued by the past between Rachel and Miles, there is much between them. And the little flashing thing that Rachel took out of Danny's arm. Was that a result of the surgery that toddler-Danny went through? And what exactly was that surgery? Overall I have mixed feelings about the show: love Miles, Nora, Rachel and I loathe Charlie.

The Walking Dead: This Sorrowful Life Soooo, Merle is dead, wooohoo!! While my heart aches for Darryl, I'm glad Merle is gone because he was a vile vile character. I don't care how much he seemed to regret at the end.

I am disappointed that Rick originally decided to hand Michonne over to the Governor. But, seeing as he's had a rough couple of months, it's easy to see why Rick did it. He wanted to keep the majority of his group safe and in theory it was sounds, but really, if he went through with giving her up, he lost everything. As Hershel said, it's not who they are. Rick's speach to the group was good, they will make decisions together, and perhaps this is the return of the "leader" Rick, one that has been missing for most of this season. I also was disappointed in Rick because he actually believed the Governor would follow through with the promise. Again, rough time.

Gotta give Glen some points for finding a ring to give to his chicky, kind of hope they last a little while together. :) The most frustrating thing of late has been the recapture of Andrea. While I know she didn't want to scream out to Rick due to the zombies all around, as soon as the Governor got her, I would have been kicking and screaming etc. Even if she died, it would have given Rick the chance to kill the Governor. And really, hard to believe that he got out of that warehouse anyway, but I suppose that's TV for you.

I hope he dies and dies horribly. He deserves it.

I'm really excited about the return of Game of Thrones :-) I get that and the finale of The Walking Dead on Sunday, so we already know what we're watching. I feel like I'm missing a show or two I wanted to babble about but I can't remember.

I am finally feeling better. Tuesday, six days later, I felt better. I'm still horribly congested, but at least I feel less like crap. Sadly I pulled the right side of my neck badly and I'm in pain there. I'm just a mess :P The neck pain is better than yesterday, however I can only turn my neck so far to the right. Good thing I already have a massage scheduled for Friday.
